"I'd like to know what became of some of the teachers at RHS who are so memorable to me. Austin Haygood, Paul Ross, and Barbara Reed come to mind. I wonder if any of them are still with us."
               Jack Halton

"Shortly after graduation I joined the Navy and spent 3 years learning and traveling. Then two years at Manatee J.C. for an A.S. in electronics. IBM Corp. picked me up in 1965 and I spent 30 years with them. During those years I worked in 13 different countries, including Saigon under contract with the military during the VietNam era. After that I got my business degree in St. Petersburg then retired in 1995 as a Systems Engineer working for the Marketing Dept. After two years I had had all the retirement I could stand and opened C&C Computers in Hendersonville, NC where I now own and manage the business. Both my wife and I maintain excellent health."
               Chris Mayer

"Kenny retired from GTE after 30 years, when he was 48, and we decided to drop out of the "establishment" and do our own thing. I had been principal's secretary at Sarasota Junior High for over 12 years, and a substitute for several years after that. We established our own landscaping company, mostly on the islands around Englewood, and even worked in the Keys a couple of summers. Now that we have moved off the island to North Port (after 30 years), we're heading in the arts & crafts direction...finally using my love of art for profit (hopefully)."
               Faith (June) Bartlett

"...my husband was 'William (Bill) H. Hunter'. I am writing to tell you that on Sept. 14, 1999 I lost Bill to cancer...I wanted to let you know so that you could post this info. on your Class site so that any friends that Bill had, and the people that remembered him would know. He is missed by me and his only daughter Toni, and now she has a baby girl (his only grandchild) he never got to see and 2 stepchildren. Bill was a wonderful husband, father and stepfather."

"Can anyone name any of the people in the 'centerfold' color photograph in the 1960 'Tartan', reproduced here on the home page? I suspect that the girl closest to the camera is Judy Zeis, but am not sure."
               Tim Ross

"Believe the person sitting on the bench, on the left is Ermina Shoemaker. She was not in our class, but in the 1961 graduating class. Think you are right about Judy being on the right. I don't know who is in the middle."
               Sandy (Newell) Schumaker

"... yes, that's Judy Zeis, Editor of the Tartan in the green dress on the right, but is the gal on the left Sandy Shutts?"
               Carol (Smith) White
