Here's what J.R. had to say about the first meeting, April 29, 2006, of the new reunion committee:
Relatively small group but plans were made.
Next reunion will be in 2008. Will be known as "Founding 5 Plus" and will include classes of 1960,61,62,63,64 and additionally 1965. Basically the plan is to have a joint reunion every 3 years and include an additional class for each reunion. All classes can have any other gathering that they choose to celebrate a year that is special to them.
Also, plans are in the works to have a Bar-B-Q for the "Founding 5" group on friday evening of either the 2nd or 3rd weekend of October at a park in Sarasota. We will pick a weekend with a home RHS football game but will not put the cookout into a package with the game. This will leave all attending classmates the option of attending the game or not as they choose. Main function is just to keep the group together.
